I am looking for recent applications of GFRC formwork. It seems like a no-brainer that this has big advantages for bridge deck applications. Has anyone come across applications for this as formwork in recent times. There seems to be pictures of applications in the UK (BCMGRC). However, these pictures seem to be dated (1980’s application).
The use of GFRC as permanent formwork is still in use, both for bridge deckings and architectural applications. Unfortunately it is not usually used in particularly attractive/photogenic applications, so there aren’t many photos available.
We agree with you that it is a fantastic use of GFRC. Are you planning on doing this yourself?
I agree with you. Application photographs are scarce.
I am doing research on bridge SIP formwork application. Most of the work for this particular area seems to be happening in the UK. I could not find any real application in the US.
Do you know any contractors that do GRC formwork in the UK?
